David Furnish, 58, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a snap of his and Elton John's, 73, sons Zachary, 9, and Elijah, 7, sending letters to Santa as they got into the festive spirit.

David also shared a sweet photograph of their 'kitchen nightmares' with a note explaining that Santa's elf had made a mess while attempting to make cookies.

Speaking about their festive Christmas plans as a family, David said that they 'don't need anything' and that they are 'very blessed in life'. Talking about what he intends to buy Elton for Xmas, he said: 'We have a one gift rule because we don't need anything, we are very blessed in life.
